The Department imparts training in Sculpture and Painting to students. The department is running a two year foundation course and three-year undergraduate course in both the art-disciplines. The department inculcate skills in students through practical classes held by renowned teachers who are also well known professionals in the field. The department is located in Badami campus of the University amidst cave-stone temple architecture heritage sites, which is conducive to the art forms taught in the department. The students of the department have conducted various Art exhibitions all over Karnataka and also the creative products of the students have been displayed in the campus, these exhibitions and displays have won acclaim for the students.
